Preparing for Advent as a family: Intergenerational retreat for families. 17th Edition
A day of coexistence and intergenerational break for families in an Ignatian way Recommended for families with children aged 5 and over.
Over a day, we offer a space for coexistence and relaxation in an Ignatian style for families, with or without children, to reflect, pray together and live together several generations.
It is a moment of pause in life to help us delve deeper into key aspects of our faith that help us advance more deeply in the path of following Christ.
We do this by combining moments of reflection and prayer in age groups, moments of family work, moments of prayer and community celebration of faith, shared meals...

Dynamics and conditions of participation
The dynamics we follow during the break are as follows:
group meeting times in the morning and afternoon to give points of prayer and reflection, time for personal reflection and moments of joint celebration for adults and children. Children from 5 years of age also have periods of reflection and group work alongside adults and in accordance with their ages. At times when there is no group work, parents take care of their children. Families with children under the age of 5 can also take part in the break, but parents must also take care of small children during the group work periods.
Proposal for young people (Youth space). It is possible to start the recess earlier, with an activity aimed especially at young people aged 12 and over (1st year of ESO) accompanied by 1-2 adults. Arrival Saturday evening (before 7pm). Full board price: 30 euros per person with accommodation at Casal Espinal. Prior confirmation is required one week before the start of the activity.
Conditions of participation
- Children aged 0-4: free
- Children and young people aged 5 to 14: €5
- Adults from 14 years: €15 per person
Note: We can offer these prices thanks to a grant awarded in 2023 to the Cova de Sant Ignasi and which we want to offer to the Intergenerational Retreat 2024 activity. Happy activity to all!.
