Place of Welcome and Other Activities

Hosting space
The Center has various spaces and services available to people who stay: more than 75 rooms with private bathrooms, dining rooms, halls of different sizes and styles, chapels, oratories and a library. It also has a computer room, Wi-Fi throughout the Center, its own laundry, two large gardens and an outside terrace with an exceptional view of Montserrat.
Facilities
The facilities have been thoroughly renovated in recent years to try to achieve both sobriety and comfort. There is now heat and air conditioning throughout the house.
Operation
The Center of Spirituality is not a hotel nor a guest house. Consistent with its spiritual and interiorization work, the services have been reduced as much as possible, so each guest takes care of his own room.
The dining rooms are self-service and everyone is invited, after every meal, to put and remove the table and wash dishes in the kitchen.
In the interior of the Center it is important to keep the silence or the low tone of voice that helps the internal recollection and respect to the assistants.
Other activities
The International Center for Ignatian Spirituality, in addition to the programmed activities, is open to welcome people seeking times of silence, prayer, retreat and/or study during one or several days, offering the possibility of individual spiritual accompaniment.
Likewise, group initiatives related to Ignatian spirituality are welcomed, such as:
- Interiority care and instruction
- Alumni Associations
- Parish Conferences
- Groups from Christian Communities
- Various workshops
- Training for teams of instructors
- Meetings of the Ignatian family
- Arciprestal retreats
- ...
The team of Jesuits at the house can provide individual spiritual accompaniment to those who request it in advance.
Pilgrim accommodations
At the moment there are many people who also do The Ignatian Way from Loyola to Manresa
You can see all the details about this Way at: http://caminoignaciano.org/en including its geographical itinerary and the resources that are offered as long as it is also an inward itinerary in the school of Ignatian spirituality.
Pilgrims can stay in the Center of Spirituality in single or double rooms with bathrooms, or in the Lluís Espinal Hostel in rooms with bunk beds.
Both pilgrims and visitors have the option to request the spiritual attention of a Jesuit.
