The Cave of Saint Ignatius

The stay of Saint Ignatius in Manresa, the experience that he lived here and the relevance that this city had in the life of the Saint have made of the Cave of San Ignatius a place of interest for many visitors. As such, the Cave provides various services to welcome all these people, whether they make a spiritual pilgrimage or want to learn about its historical, cultural and artistic heritage.

Visiting hours to the Sanctuary

Timetable (labour days and holidays):

Visiting hours are from monday to saturday. Sundays from 10 am to 11am. 

Summer visiting hours : march 1st  to oct 31st.  From 10 am to 1 pm and 4pm to 7 pm. 
Winter visiting hours :  november 1st to february 28th.  From 10 am to 1 pm. and 3 pm to 6 pm

Open every day of the year except Easter Monday of Resurrection and  December 26th

Celebrations

Eucharist at the Sanctuary of the Cave of Saint Ignatius: Sundays and days of precept at 12.00 a.m. : 1 January, 6 January, 3 April (Holy Friday) there's no mass at noon, 15 Augus, 1 November, 8 December and  25 December.

Eucharist at the Cave of Saint Ignatius: All year daily mass from monday to saturday at 7,30 am., except the summer perido between july 1st and september 11th.  Public holidays in Catalonia and local festivities no precept:  21 February, 6 April (Easter Monday), 1 May, 24 June, 31 August, 11 September, 12 October, 6 December. On December 26 (closed all day there is no mass at 7,30 am) 

Confessions:
Half an hour before the celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays or holy days of obligation.

Other Celebrations:
There is the possibility for people or groups to celebrate the Eucharist in the Cave or the Sanctuary, by making a reservation in advance.

Around the Sunday Gospel

Every Thursday, at 7pm, in the Chapel of the Rapture (Plaça Sant Ignasi, 1). Duration 1 hour.
Invited: interested in listening, reflecting and praying the Gospel that will be proclaimed at the Eucharist the following Sunday.
Procedure: It begins with an introduction about the context of the Gospel which is read below. We listen to the echoes produced by the Word of God and conclude with the prayer of the Lord's Prayer.
