Manifesto program "Two months recycling 2020"

The course that they have offered us to do in Manresa, properly more than an academic course, has been an integral and integrating experience of various elements: theological reflection, the contributions of the social sciences, spirituality, etc. And this in a dynamic way, nothing monotonous. We have had ample spaces to give God more time and space in our lives, to pray, reflect and contemplate our own life, the realities and people of everyday life, to name the lived realities, to learn to look more contemplatively inward and outward, downward and downward. In addition we have been accompanied throughout these two months by various teachers who have helped us to reflect and, above all, to awaken our faith, our hope and our love.

Not that we had high expectations upon arrival. Perhaps for this reason, when one does not expect anything in particular, one is able to welcome everything with greater appreciation. And, with the passing of the weeks, the expectations were increasing. In fact, from the beginning, when we were invited to recognize and rediscover the founding source of our life and our vocation, everything has led us to hold a new, cataract-free, more loving, tender and close look at our world. , about our mission places and the realities that our people live there. Likewise, everything has awakened us to a new mobilization, that of working on the project of Our Lord in this world so hungry for hope and goodness. And, at the end of the process, the experience of the eight days of Spiritual Exercises has helped us to rest what we have lived, in a soft and affective way, with the Lord; also to rebuild our intimate friendship with him to continue with him the way of life, being bearers of the joy of his Gospel in a world so hopeless. And it has also given us light to discern the will of God at the crossroads of the paths of history.

In the course we have found companions on the way, with whom we could live a beautiful experience of God. During these two months we formed as a small community, with its greatness and limitations, like all of them, where we share what we are and what moves us within. Thus we were discovering dreamers and workers for a more humane, just and fraternal world; open-eyed mystics in communion with this creation and its trinitarian source.

We have also found a cozy and comfortable house, with a very attentive, cordial and affectionate service staff, always ready to help us when necessary. This has helped us feel at home during these two months.

We return to our homelands with the awareness of living in a very unequal world in which globalization has generated winners and losers; in a global village where the task of compassion and of generating new hopes is increasingly needed, as well as that of collaborating - from the simple, small and humble - in the construction of a more participatory and critical human community. It is as if a new - or old - flame has rekindled in us and now we feel called to care for it and transmit it. A flame that is shaped by a passion that wants to be more and more lucid in work for the cause of the Kingdom of God.
