Enneagram from the essence of life

Since 1998, we have been offering this experience of discovery and personal transformation, as well as transformation of one’s environment. Year after year, our workshops fill up with participants who come to our school thanks to word of mouth—meaning that previous generations of participants have been deeply satisfied with the results they have achieved.
The Enneagram Workshop from the Essence consists of three residential blocks of two days each (a total of 54 theoretical and practical hours) dedicated to discovering and deepening the system known as the "Enneagram." It follows the tradition of the Jesuits, initiated at Loyola University Chicago by Robert Ochs, SJ, and great teachers like Hellen Hudson.
The Enneagram serves as a bridge between modern 21st-century psychology and the psycho-spiritual frameworks of the oldest traditions in human development, even predating Neoplatonic thought. The Enneagram speaks of the ontological essence of the human being, of its existential foundation. Its effectiveness in human development has been tested by thousands of people over centuries of evolution. Each generation and culture that has encountered this knowledge has left its mark on the traditional Enneagram, refining the tool that has now reached us in the 21st century. We take part in this history and pass it on to future generations through the participants in our workshops.
The goal of the course is to work on our personality, discover paths to self-knowledge and understanding of others, and find tools to improve our lives—enhancing the quality of both professional and personal relationships. The methodology includes theoretical presentations and discussions, individual and group exercises, and identification exercises for one’s Enneagram type through testimonies, movie characters, songs, and visualizations.
The complete workshop is structured into three two-day blocks:
The first block (TE 1) focuses on introducing the overall theory and the initial discernment of one's personality type. We will discuss the origins of the system and our own identity. We will identify the "centers of perception" and personality types. Additionally, we will explore the connection between Enneagram theory and our tradition in the Western world. Each participant will be guided through their self-identification process.
The second block (TE 2) is focused on the more dynamic aspects of the theory: the "arrows," the "wings," the "passions," and the "integrations"… culminating in the development of a personal growth plan.
The third block (TE 3) will be dedicated to personal reflection on our origins, childhood, and the presence of our original essence. We will explore how the Enneagram raises questions about our purpose or mission in life and how it helps us discover a deeper meaning in our experiences.
Participation Requirements:
-
A desire for personal growth.
-
A basic awareness of one’s own life circumstances.
-
The ability to self-identify in daily behaviors.
-
An openness to spiritual experience.
-
A willingness to dedicate 54 hours to an intensive training that can transform one’s self-perception and worldview.
The time gap between each two-day block serves as a period of personal observation and reflection on the work done in the workshop. After the first block, once the theoretical foundations are established, observing one's own life becomes a path to deeper self-awareness, which must be integrated into daily life. This process continues with the support of the second block and concludes with the third block—a closing session that opens toward the future, inviting participants to apply their newfound insights to their everyday lives.
