Enneagram from the essence of life
Since 1998, we have been offering this experience of personal and environmental discovery and transformation. Year after year, our workshops are filled with participants who come to our school through word of mouth, thanks to previous generations of participants who have been deeply satisfied with the results they have achieved.
The Enneagram from the Essence Workshop consists of two residential two-day blocks (a total of 32 hours of theoretical and practical training) devoted to discovering and deepening our understanding of the system known as the “Enneagram”, following the Jesuit tradition initiated at Loyola University Chicago by Robert Ochs, SJ, and drawing on the work of renowned teachers such as Helen Palmer, David Daniels, Jeremy Wagner and Russ Hudson.
The Enneagram is a bridge between 21st-century modern psychology and the psycho-spiritual frameworks of the oldest traditions of human development, dating back to before Neoplatonic thought. The Enneagram speaks of the human being at an ontological level, of our existential foundation. Its effectiveness as a tool for human development has been tested by thousands of people throughout centuries of evolution. Each generation and each culture that has engaged with this body of knowledge has left its mark on the traditional Enneagram, refining the instrument that has reached us in the 21st century. We are part of this history and pass it on to future generations through the participants in our workshops.
The aim of the course is to work on our personality, discover paths towards self-knowledge and a deeper understanding of others, and find tools to improve our lives by enhancing the quality of both our professional and personal relationships. The methodology includes theoretical presentations and discussions, individual and group exercises, as well as exercises to identify our own Enneagram type through personal testimonies and characters from films, songs and visualisations.
The complete workshop is structured in two two-day blocks:
The first block (TE 1) focuses on introducing the theory as a whole and on the initial discernment of one’s own personality type. We will explore the origins of the system and our own identity. We will identify the “centres of perception” and the different “personality types.” We will look at the connection between Enneagram theory and our Western tradition. We will support each participant in carrying out their own process of self-identification.
The second block (TE 2) focuses on the more dynamic aspects of the theory: the “arrows,” “wings,” “passions,” “integrations,” and so on; our origins, our childhood, and the presence within us of our original essence. We will explore how the Enneagram invites us to ask questions about the meaning of our lives and our mission in this world, and how it accompanies us in discovering a deeper meaning in what we experience.
Participation Requirements:
- A willingness to engage in personal work.
- A minimum level of awareness of one’s own life circumstances.
- The ability to identify oneself in everyday behaviours.
- An openness to spiritual experience.
- A willingness to dedicate 32 hours of one’s life to an intensive training experience that can transform the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
The time between the two-day blocks is an opportunity for personal observation and reflection on the work carried out during the workshop. Following the first block, once the foundations of the theory have been established, observing our own lives opens the way towards greater self-awareness and the self-knowledge that needs to be deepened in everyday life. This process continues with the support of the second block and concludes with a closing session that opens the way to the future—the third block—and invites participants to apply in their daily lives the new perspective they have experienced within themselves.

Departure: Sunday after lunch, at 2:30 PM.
Attendance at two workshops is mandatory.
If fewer than 10 participants enroll, the course will be canceled, and the full amount paid will be refunded.
