The Retreat House
The International Center for Spirituality (formerly called Retreat House) offers retreats for contemplation, interiority, silence and spirituality, aimed at both believers and non-believers, with special attention to young people. It is a privileged space for the practice of spiritual exercises. It is the same place where Ignatius of Loyola lived the experience that would give rise to his book Exercicis espirituals. The House has all the necessary conditions to retreat and enjoy a few days of prayer and it also offers a wide and varied program of exercises in various modalities.
The International Center for Spirituality has been, is and will continue be:
- A reference point for the Ignatian families and the works promoted by them.
- A place of interior transformation as it was for Saint Ignatius.
- A spirituality training school, especially for "trainers" and "multiplier" agents.
- A school of values. The activity of the Center wants to convey an education that combines values such as interiority and deepness, capacity for analysis and discernment, critical sense and social commitment and individual and social awareness.
The Center has various spaces and services available to our guests:
75 rooms, singles and doubles, with private bathrooms and heating/air conditioned system
5 dining rooms with a capacity up to 150 people
12 meeting rooms adapted with capacity from 20 to 120 people ( 7 with screen, projector, micro and audiovisual )
Lounges
7 private offices
3 chapels for 30 to 50 people
4 oratories, inside the Center, of different sizes and styles with a capacity from 5 to 50 people

At 10' walking will find the city swimming pool which offer special discounts to our retreatants. Around the Center, you may enjoy of several Roads walking between 30 to 120' depending the route you choose.
Still, the Center is neither a hotel nor a spiritual lodge. Consistent with the spiritual and interiorization work we offer, we opted to simplify the material services offered by the House. Self-service in everything possible helps: table service turns during meals ( with prior notice, we offer adapted diets according to your needs ), cleaning up one's own room and those rooms used by your group. Timetable for the meals are the same for all the groups of the Center and Espinal Guesthouse: Breakfast at 8,30 am. Lunch at 1,30 pm. Dinner at 8,00 pm.
Inside the Center, it is important to keep silent or keep the tone of voice low thats helps the inner recollection and the respect for the guests.
